So, what’s it like living in Leicestershire? In the centre, Leicester City acts as the county’s cultural mecca. Flats in Leicestershire sold for an average of £146,820, with terraced houses achieving £174,544. Semi-detached houses averaged at £213,078, while detached properties sold for £361,169.

What about rentals? According to Home, the current average monthly rent (November 2021) is £903, with the median average around £750 PCM. One-bedroom homes cost around £621 PCM, while five-bedroom properties came in at £1,416 PCM.
