Where is Derby?
Derby is the ceremonial ‘county town’ that gives its name to the county of Derbyshire. It is a mid-sized city, however. It’s located just off the M1, to the West, with Nottingham just on the other side of the motorway to the east. Situated to the south of Hilton village, nine miles from Derby city centre, this development enjoys beautiful woodlands and a small lake, with a sculpted woodland walk that residents just love. Homes here come in a range of sizes and styles, though all are designed and finished to a very high level. Residents also highly rate the developer and management team, with most claiming that issues are invariably dealt with in a prompt, helpful and friendly manner.

In 2nd, Mulberry Place is another new development of 2-4-bedroom homes offering excellent design and plenty of character, according to residents. All houses enjoy front and back gardens that are well landscaped, as are the communal green spaces and areas connecting the rest of the estate. Residents also note the generally ‘quiet, peaceful’ atmosphere, which is enlivened by a children’s playpark and various natural features including a balancing pond.

Our third spot goes to Manor Farm Fields and its 2-4-bedroom homes for sale in Mickleover. Derby’s city centre is just 5 miles away, which gives Manor Farm Fields an enviable mix of country living with city convenience. Homes here are nicely spaced out, but with very little space wasted, according to one enthusiastic reviewer. Various eco-features are also available across the different types of properties on offer.
